Kung-Fu Panda, Veronica Goes To Hong Kong Part II

Veronica is going back to Hong Kong for the summer and through the fall semester of school. So, she came and stayed with my family for Wednesday night and Thursday. I’ll be watching over her fish and guitar while she’s gone. On Wednesday night we ate at Burrachos with my dad and sister and then I helped her move all the rest of her stuff to storage that she couldn’t bring with her. When we got back we watched Semi-Pro which I had heard a lot of good things about. Unfortunately, it wasn’t really funny at all. I laughed once or twice, if that, and I think I was being generous. Disappointing!

Thursday we went and saw Kung-Fu Panda with Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie and Jackie Chan. It was really good!! This is the best looking animated film I have seen. It was a really beautiful looking film.

The story was more Disney than Jack Black, but I expected that. Since it was Disney, it was all very predictable and had a linear plot line with all of the basic elements. But, I still think this is a gem. The art style and characters are great and it has its funny moments.

After the movie we went to Shanghai for happy hour sushi/dinner. It was great as usual. When we were done with dinner, I drove her to her friend’s house in Minnesota where she would spend her last night in America before going back to Hong Kong. Have a safe trip, Veronica!

At least now I have a guitar I can practice on for a while. Also, I finally got a job interview! It’s at convenience store called River Country.
