The weekend was average. I got my power-supply! Not too many parts left now, only about 280 more dollars until I can actually put something together. By my calculations, that’s two months. On Sunday, it was Monica’s 19th birthday – and also the day she got engaged! So we had an engagement/birthday party at Outback Steakhouse on Sunday. It was much better than last year’s “celebration” for her 18th birthday party. Only 4 or 5 people showed up.
School has been busy, busier than last semester. A lot of reading is required for my English class, along with a lot of papers. The weather today was terrible, and it’s supposed to be worse tomorrow. It’ll be -35 with windchill tomorrow. Veronica had a snowday but still had to come to class here today for Japanese. After classes, I went to H.O.U.S.E. at the Davie’s Center. It taught about safe renting, and I got a ton of papers from 15 or so different landlords on houses and apartments. I haven’t gone through them all yet, but I think the best offer was a four bedroom house for 195 a month per person. Pets are allowed and water is included. He also said that utilities for the area were quite cheap, averaging about an extra 38 dollars a person.
I found out that Chancellor’s Hall is 4 bedroom dorms. So, we will try to apply for that and see if it’s a possibility. Certainly would be less of a headache, but if we can’t get in – it’s off to a house/apartment for us.
After H.O.U.S.E. Bryan and I went to the Library and got a few new movies while returning old ones. This week: What Dreams May Come. Bryan got a few including The 40-Year Old Virgin, which we watched when we got back.
