Today at Shanghai, we all gathered for a free winter lunch. Bryan actually came this time – “who needs a class to appreciate music, anyways?” We all ate, Larry got me mongolian beef which I loved. After a while we finished and Larry asked if I would eat an Ika roll (squid sushi) if he got me a free one. I initially said no, but Bryan and Chris both noted that I needed to try it. So, I said he could order it with no real intention of eating it, I just figured Bryan and Chris would eat it. But it came to the table and I stared at it for a few seconds:
Bryan was describing the part of body they sliced up while I was doing so. I tried it. Yep, despite hating seafood, I decided I might as well just eat it once – it was free after all and considered to be very tasty by many people. I ate all of it and it wasn’t that bad. It didn’t have that fish taste that I hate so much, it was actually pretty enjoyable. I’d probably get it again.
