Waldenbooks has been keeping me pretty busy lately. I worked Thursday to close, today to close, I work tomorrow open to 5:30, and then twice on Sunday starting at open, then again on Monday to close. It’s not so bad though, it’s pretty fun. In fact, I made a huge list of all the books I want to buy now that I have that handy discount. It’s quite a large list. I don’t believe I will ever own all of these books, and if I did – I would have no place to keep them all. I may have to buy them slowly or maybe rent a few of them from the library. Speaking of the library, we had a really good haul on movies last Thursday on Library Day. I reserved a bunch of movies last week, and all of them were waiting for me this week. I got: American Beauty, The Devil’s Advocate, Shindler’s List, The Godfather, Unleashed, Reservoir Dogs, and Edward Scissorhands. I also reserved a large list of movies for next week. I try and watch a movie whenever I can and usually I decide based on movie length. Shindler’s List turned out to be a crazy 3 hours and 16 minutes long, with Godfather and Devil’s Advocate being no better, so I chose to watch American Beauty on Thursday. I’m glad I did. I don’t think I’ve seen a better movie. Everything about it was perfect. An amazing story that was inspirational and tragic at the same time. If you haven’t seen American Beauty, I don’t believe I could recommend a movie more than this one.
Tomorrow I have to get up early early for work. Then, after work I might go see the Bob and Tom live show (they’re radio hosts around this area, quite funny) with Bryan. Also with Bryan, we’re planning on getting our flu shots – a lot of people I know are starting to get sick already.
