18th Birthday, Last Day At Panera, Much More...

Well, lots to cover for this post. First event – I turned 18 officially! Grandma and Grandpa came up from Texas to go out to dinner with us at TGIFridays.

It was pretty fun, and we got a Culver’s concrete cake which I had been wanting. I got an electric shaver and a fancy new cell phone (my old one died, well the screen anyway). This is what it looks like:

And after that, Veronica and I went to Best Buy and I got Guild Wars:Factions and a new mousepad with some gift cards! Nice! Ah, and then Friday I turned in my letter of resignation to Panera bread. My last day there was on Sunday…everyone was very nice, and Nicole even brought cookies for me. Woo! I applied to ShopKo on Saturday morning, I’m really hoping I get the job. I know 3 people on the inside, so maybe I will. Today was a big day. I woke up at 7 and we went to the Memorial Day Parade, which is my last parade ever. It was fun, easy, and relaxed. After the parade I went over to Bryan’s house and we made a cake for English class (It’s a required project, we didn’t just decide to make a cake…) Anyway, this is what happens when two men get together in a kitchen and make a “cake”:

There actually is a lot of meaning behind all that … stuff. I wrote an essay on it. Pretty amusing essay actually. Every element of this cake is tied to some sort of literature. Also, I put my PSP for sale on Ebay. It’s a pretty nice deal, comes with everything it came with, great condition with 5 games and 3 movies + more: Click here to view. After the cake, I went to Veronica’s house and we went and saw Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World’s End. Which was wayyy better than I thought. I didn’t really care for the first two, but this was a very terrific movie. Also, very long – but such is the way of any epic movie, really.

And finally, I also watched Donnie Darko which Bryan lent me. What a crazy movie. It’s about time travel and very interesting if you’re into that sort of thing. Bit confusing, very good though. I recommend it:
