Friday was my last full day in Nagasaki…
It was a fun but very sad day. To begin the day, George, Lauryn, Asami, Nate, Megumi, and I all got together to do lunch. We ate at an udon place in Sumiyoshi and it was super good, super cheap, and we got a lot of udon. After eating, I bought a gift for Asami’s mom, and then went over to her house to give it to her. I got her a coffee mug. I also gave Asami her gift which I had bought for her on Monday: an English conversation book.
Asami got me a brown and black bracelet as a going-away gift and wrote a message on the inside of it.
At night, George had to leave for Fukuoka to get on his morning flight for Tokyo and then return home. We went to see him off at the bus station.
Everyone minus Nate, who took the photo.
George holding up his gift from Asami and I.
Getting on the bus… See you again, George!!
After leaving the bus station one friend down, we went to Monkey Wrench to see the farewell party. It was pretty packed, but pretty quiet. I took some photos with some of my friends over the last five months…
Amina, from New York.
Megumi again, with Josh from Indiana in the back.
John, California and Stephanie, Minnesota.
Kazu wanted all of the overseas students to write something on the bar wall. This was my message:
This Spring was so fun! Thank you very much~
Messages from other students.
On the walk back to the apartment, our last walk back to the apartment, Asami and I took some photos of places we liked.
The McDonalds / Game Center we went to.
Geo, the video rental shop we frequented. Asami’s middle sister works here.
