Shutter Island

Well it’s been a long time since I made any sort of post, so I figure it’s about time. I don’t have much to write about, but let’s see if I can think of something.

I got the job at OfficeMax and I’ve been working there pretty frequently, about 20 hours a week. It’s a good job and I like it so far. All of my coworkers are nice and the managers are pretty good too. I’ve been working there for about a month or so now.

School is okay. Not much to say other than I’m really busy with that. I’ve been having a lot of reading for Anthropology, so that’s been keeping me busy. Also, programming.

Asami is coming back in the summer! She just bought her ticket the other day. So, she’ll be here from July 7th until the 18th.

Last weekend I went and saw Shutter Island.

Shutter Island

It was better than I was expecting. But, I didn’t really go in with any expectations. The trailer gave the impression that it would be a thriller, but really it’s more of a mystery. The story keeps having little twists and turns and at the end there’s a big twist that turns everything around. It’s a really good twist, one that I didn’t see coming. I’m sure there are plenty of people who guessed it, but the movie fooled me pretty well.

I’d recommend this to anyone who enjoys a clever twist. If you are put off by the scariness, I would say don’t let that bother you. It wasn’t a scary movie. There were no sudden loud noises or scenes that were especially scary. As far as that goes, it was pretty tame. You should probably see Shutter Island.
