New Japanese Students

Posted on Monday January 24, 2011 at 9:57pm in ,

I was just getting off work on Saturday when Hiroko walked in with the new Japanese students that recently arrived. There are three new students, two men and one woman. She asked if I wanted to help show them around Eau Claire a little. I said sure, so after work we went to dinner at Red Robin for some American Food.

Hitomi and Tetsushi at Red Robin.

I had a few options when choosing a place to take them to eat, but I took Red Robin because they have a lot of different types of hamburger to choose from, which is what they all wanted to eat. All three of them are freshman and pretty much new to America, except Tetsushi, who has studied in Kentucky before.

Onion ring tower!

Red Robin does have some good burgers. The Royal Robin is my favorite.

After dinner, we went to Action City to ride the go-karts and bat in the batting cages.

Batting cages. Abba was really good.

At the arcade.

They wanted to play airhockey.

New Japanese Students
None of them had played before, but they had a lot of fun.

It was great meeting the new students. Finally we have some male Japanese students, for the first time in a few years. They all seem interested in joining JCS, I hope they do!
