Friday night was our JCS Movie Night – our first party of the semester. It was a big success! I think 30 people must have come, a surprising turn-out. A lot of people brought friends who were interested in joining JCS and so there were a lot of new people, too. Definitely a record turn-out for a JCS party, the place was packed. Here are some pictures.
Aya and Hitomi.
Kyoko making soba noodles.
Jake even came!
Takoyaki and Cheese-yaki(lately we’ve been making a lot of it).
Eric and Minori.
Kelsey and Brian arrive.
Lots of people.
Rachel and Caleb making cheese-yaki.
Turned out well!
Thanks to Rachel for being my first noodle model.
Also thanks to Jake for being my second. The soba noodles were a big hit, Kyoko made a ton of them.
A little out of focus Minori chopstick warrior.
Minori and Aya.
Aya and Tetsushi.
The movie we decided to watch was Survive Style 5+. If you have yet to see this interesting Japanese film, I recommend it. It’s one of my favorite movies. Here is a trailer:Even with all the people talking, the movie was a big hit, too! JCS Movie Night couldn’t have been more of a success! Looking forward to the next big one.
