I’ve been biking a lot lately. This is mainly to get some exercise to counteract all the non activity at my office job. However, I also like riding my bike to enjoy the nice summer weather. This last weekend, Chris was in town and he had happened to bring his bike with him. I biked down to meet Chris and Bryan on water street and saw that they both had their bikes. We decided to go for a bike ride together around town. We found the abandoned mini golf course off of Clairemont – it was all grown over.
This was the mini golf course.
The old check in center.
Bryan had the idea that it would be cool to come in and clean this land up and have ourselves a mini golf course. Although, I’m sure the place still belongs to someone who probably wouldn’t appreciate that.
From there we biked down to the university and saw the deconstruction of the old Davie’s Center.
And the new Davies Center!
That day was a total of 18 miles! Not bad!
However, I did just have a biking accident yesterday night. I was biking to meet my friends on water street when I was coming down State St. Hill (a very steep hill). I was going too fast and couldn’t stop by the bottom and I kept going right into the guard-rail. I got scrapes everywhere and also damaged my bike. Last night I couldn’t lift my left arm at all and even now I’m having difficulty with it. Hopefully everything should heal up pretty soon though. I took today off of work (and possibly tomorrow as well). I will hopefully be better by Monday. My bike is in the shop and should be better by Saturday!
